DRC Echezeaux 2004
Tasting Note
'The 2004 DRC Echézeaux is another stellar example of the vintage that shows no signs on the nose of the herbacité of the vintage, but still retains a touch of bell pepper on the backend on the palate. The superb bouquet is deep, pure and blossoming beautifully, as it offers up a complex mélange of cherries, plums, blood orange, duck, complex soil tones and a judicious framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with fine mid-palate depth, fine-grained tannins, tangy acids and just a touch of green pepper poking out on the long, focused and complex finish. This will be just lovely with another five years of cellaring.'
