Jean-Marc Vincent Santenay Gravieres Blanc 2023
Tasting Note
'White marl at the Chassagne border, between the piles of stones (murgers), next to Clos de Tavannes, mostly planted at 17,000 vines per hectare, and a third at 14,000. Jean-Marc explains that you get smaller bunches at higher density, strikingly so above 15,000. The 2023 Santenay Gravières Blanc has one of the less expressive bouquets, not at all phenolic. Just a sense of pure class. Incredible intensity on the palate, perfect acid balance, ripe lemon skins. All for the future.'
