Tasting Note
'The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Grandes Vignes 1er Cru is backward on the nose, the oak initially quite vocal, though it improves with aeration and evinces assiduous stem addition. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, a little rustic but full of personality. I’m not sure if this is truly long-term, but I appreciate its almost feral finish. Very fine. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.'
