'The 2018 Pommard Les Chanlins 1er Cru is consistent with my remarks out of barrel. Lively blackberry and raspberry fruit on the nose intermingle with pressed iris flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins and impressive weight. It has retained great clarity and persistence towards the finish. Quintessential Pommard from start to finish.'
