'The 2001 Barolo Rocche is dazzling. Sweet red cherries, flowers and tobacco are some of the many notes that emerge over time. The balance of fruit and structure is compelling. Silky, finessed tannins that are the hallmark of Rocche frame the long finish. The 2001 has developed beautifully over the last decade. Its future appears to be every bit as stellar.'
