California has been producing world-class wine for longer than many collectors realise. The great Cabernet Sauvignons of the Napa Valley, the Pinot Noirs of Sonoma and the Santa Cruz Mountains - made by the pioneers of the 1970s and 1980s - are maturing into wines of real distinction, and they remain significantly undervalued relative to their European equivalents. We also hold mature Oregonian Pinot Noir from producers who understood early that the Willamette Valley offered something genuinely distinct.
As with every region we stock, our focus is on bottles with verifiable provenance and the kind of storage history that makes the investment in mature wine worthwhile.
