Domaine Gramenon Cotes du Rhone La Papesse 2021
Tasting Note
'dark red; the bouquet has inner depth, Pez sweets, violet, licorice, cherry, a hint of reduction. The attack is direct, carries plenty of elements, so can fuse, shows menthol on the aftertaste, has a good level of freshness, is up on the close. There’s good cut on the fruit on debut, and it builds into the finish, with juice and light chewiness in the tannins, indicating that it can make good progress. “The tannins aren’t monstrous, and it has good acidity,” Michèle Aubery.'
