'The 2021 Bâtard-Montrachet from Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is equally stunning. The complex nose delivers scents of apple, pear, orange zest, spring flowers, a gorgeous base of limestone minerality, almond and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is precise, pure and very elegant for young Bâtard, with a rock solid core of fruit, great soil signature, snappy acids and simply stunning backend mineral drive on the long, complex and seamlessly balanced finish. A stunning young Bâtard-Montrachet.'
