Tasting Note
'Céline Fontaine’s 2017 Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet is outstanding. The wine is going to need some time in the cellar to really come into its own (as a proper grand cru should!), but once it is ready to drink, it is going to be superb. The youthful bouquet delivers a fine blend of apple, pear, chalky soil tones, fresh almond, pastry cream, vanillin oak and a lovely topnote of orange blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and youthfully complex, with an excellent core of fruit, beautiful transparency and grip, bright, snappy acids and a very long, pure and classy finish.'
