The Rhône valley is the home of France’s greatest Syrah. Not Syrah blended with other varieties, as in the south, but Syrah alone — from the granite terraces of Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, and Cornas, grown by small domaines farming the same steep hillsides for generations. The wines produced from this combination of variety, granite, and climate are among the longest-lived and most sought-after in France.

Baron Wines holds Northern Rhône wine from some of the region's greatest and most celebrated producers, including Chave, Jaboulet, Julien Barge, Marcel Juge and Thierry Allemand. We are also proud to work directly with one of the Rhône's rising stars, Bryan Deleu, whose St Joseph and Condrieu are exquisitely crafted.

We also hold wines from retired producers whose bottles are now a finite collection: Noël Verset, whose Cornas from old vines planted in the 1920s and 1930s cannot be replenished from source, and Jean-Louis Grippat, whose Hermitage Blanc and St-Joseph are among the most prized wines from a domaine that no longer exists.
